OK...
She saw me.
Yes, I admit she did.
And she took my picture.
I was in my box, which good
GoG had lined with fleece.
And I was asleep.
For one of them.
And then the flashy-light-box-thing
woke me up.
I wasn't very happy.
Then I realized she was taking
my picture for my blog.
So I let her.
I even posed for her.
Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

She Caught me...

Better and Better!!
GoG made my napping place better.
She put a fleecy in the box.
It is very fuzzy now.
And even warmer.
Thank you, GoG!
It's a nice blue.
A very nice blue.
It compliments my eyes.
I shed all over it, to show it was mine, mine, mine, all mine!!!
Thank you, GoG!!
In Satisfaction,

New Napping Place
I have a new napping place.
I really like it.
It is under the moving-chair in GoG's study.
It is nice and safe.
And it is just my size.
GoG's flashy light-black box thing woke me up during this picture.
That's why I look grumpy.
I love my box.
The only thing that would make it better would be if GoG would put some fleece in it.
Hint... Hint...

Post-Thanksgiving Friday Five
Ah, the day after Thanksgiving--groan! Fortunately, I love Thanksgiving leftovers.
Thanksgiving is the American holiday when the greatest number of people travel somewhere else to celebrate. I am posting this from my son’s home in Minnesota where we are recovering from the food shopping and the preparations and the meal and the clean up. It is difficult to think of anything requiring much energy today, and I am enjoying my sweet baby granddaughter, so I will keep it simple. For those of you not in the USA, I apologize for the nationalistic tone of this Friday Five!
1. Did you go elsewhere for the day, or did you have visitors at your place instead? How was it?
I stayed at home. But Bearded Scritcher's mother came over. I hid the whole time, so it was fine!
2. Main course: If it was the turkey, the whole turkey, and nothing but the turkey, was it prepared in an unusual way? Or did you throw tradition to the winds and do something different?
I followed my own tradition. I had kibble, with fresh tap water, and Greenies for dessert. But GoG gave me a Thanksgiving treat-Squid and sardines, she called it. The juice was okay, but I didn't like the rest of it much.
3. Other than the meal, do you have any Thanksgiving customs that you observe every year?
I always wake up early, have a thorough wash, go back to bed. Then I get up, count noses-to make sure everyone is there, eat a snack, and sleep until Lunch.
4. The day after Thanksgiving is considered a major Christmas shopping day by most US retailers. Do you go out bargain hunting and shop ‘till you drop, or do you stay indoors with the blinds closed? Or something in between?
I spend the whole day under the bed, napping, and playing string.
5. Let the HOLIDAY SEASON commence! When will your Christmas decorations go up?
When GoG says it isn't too cold to stand outside, and she and String Puller and String Plucker have free time. They put up this really big thing that looks like a tree, but it isn't. They put all sorts of hangy and blinky things on it. They make very nice toys. Why do they say "No, don't play with those," and "They could break-don't touch them!" Bad humans.

A Thanksgiving "Treat"...
Today, the humans had Thanksgiving. They had a big thing in the oven. It smelled like a bird. A really big bird. I helped GoG check it in the big heat-cage. It smelled so good! But GoG says "No, no," and "get away." Bad GoG. But after it came out, it didn't smell as good. So I forgot about it.
This morning, GoG gave me a "Thanksgiving treat." She called it "Squid and Sardines." It smelled. A lot. A whole lot. I tried it. But there were really crunchy things and really slimy things in there. I only ate the sauce. The sauce was good. But everything else was weird. Oh well. GoG said she thought it would be a nice, special treat. At least she tried.
GoG has a snuffly nose. I have been wuzzling her. I've gotten over her leaving for a long time. She needs wuzzles. She was up late last night. Something about "Has to be in by midnight," and, "Paper to write." She shouldn't have stayed up so late. Now she's all tired. And she needs a wuzzle kitty to help her. I like to help her write things. I keep her feet warm so she can concentrate. And then I know where she is. And GoG likes it when I warm her feet. Got to go warm them again.

She's Back!!!
At first I didn't recognize her because she smelled funky. Then I realized who she was, and remembered she had left me for a week! I gave her the Big Ig- I turned my back on her, and pointed my tail at her. She coaxed me over with Greenies, though. I only took 3. Didn't want to appear too eager.
I missed her while she was gone. But she had some nerve!! Leaving me like that. But she's back. And I am satisfied.

T.O.C.'s in a Bad Mood
*Ahem* see title. Evidently, she is complaining that only 2 cats- Mugs and Mel have gone to welcome her. She feels so grumpy, she doesn't want to blog. And she's really mean to me. Please, go say hi. If only to stop me getting tormented.
Last night I tormented her right back. She was in the "den" with bearded scritcher. I wanted attention. That was all. At first, that is. Well, it was really late at night and Bearded Scritcher was in the "den" with T.O.C. NOT Fair!!!! By this time, He should be on the Big Bed scritching ME!! And there he was. Scritching T.O.C. So, I ran up to T.O.C. and chased her out of the den. Then Bearded Scritcher locked me in the room with the Big Bed. And all I wanted was attention. I only wanted loves. That was all I wanted. Loves. Nothing more. If he had gone to bed On Time, I wouldn't have done that. And now T.O.C. is even more annoyed.
*Sigh* Desperate circumstances call for desperate actions (T.O.C. explained that to me once. She is wise, even if she is grumpy). Oh well. I did my desperate measure and got a punishment. But he was up on the Big Bed for scritches and cuddles last night. So I am satisfied.

She's still gone
She's Gone,
And I don't know if she'll come back.
String Puller says Tuesday she'll be back,
But what is that?
That word means nothing to a cat!
Is it a day?
Is it a food?
Is it a place?
What is it?
When is she coming back?

Where is she?
Oh...Oh... Giver of Greenies... Where are yooooouuuu? Oh... I've looked everywhere for her... Where is she? I looked in her study, I looked in her bed, I looked under her bed, I looked in the food-making place, I looked in the "Den", I looked in the bathroom, I looked everywhere. She's just. Not. There. Oh... And mean old T.O.C. won't play. She won't even let me into the "Den". There's a big thing in there like a bed half folded up. It's very comfy. It has soft blankies on it. There's a big, black window in front of it. It has a silver edge. One time, I saw my family watching it. There were lots of things moving all over the window. And noises. Lots and lots of noises. But no smells. Humans are weird. But T.O.C. won't let me sleep on the folded-up-bed-thing. Meanie.
I miss Giver of Greenies. A lot. A whole lot. I was very restless last night, 'cause she was gone.
But I just found out that String Puller and String Plucker are going to give me Greenies. Whew! I was worried about that! That's one comfort. I'll still get Greenies. But I still miss the one who usually gives them to me. This Princess is going to go take a nap now. It may help. I hope.

Raaaaaaoooul?
Raaaaaaaoooul? Raaaaaaaaaoooul?
Giver of Greenies has been packing. In an uit-case-say. In 2 uit-case-says. She is saying things like "Ziplock Bags" and "Zipper won't close" and "Laundry".
I hope this doesn't mean what I think it means. Last time, it meant she was leaving for a week. She better not pull a stunt like that again (I've heard that phrase somewhere. I'm not sure what it means, but it sounds cool)!
No one will give me Greenies if she leaves. That's what happened last time. It's so lonely during the day, with no one at home to warm feet for. Her feet are very nice to lie on. They always need warming. But I won't get Greenies for a week. It's not fair. And I won't get Furminated for a week. Bearded Scritcher says he'll do it, but he won't. He'll forget. And I'll be lonely all week...
Raaaaaaaoooul? Raaaaaaaaaoooul? Raaaaaaaoooul? Raaaaaaaaaoooul? Raaaaaaaoooul... Raaaaaaaaaoooul...

Crack me up
T.O.C. has a blog now. She's old, but not out of it, I give her props for that. The strange thing is, she's only a duchess but she says she outranks me. Strange.
Anyway, if you like, you can go welcome her - she is a RevPetBlogPal, even if she is rude to me.

Strange goings on...
String Puller put something on her head. She even went outside with it on her head. There was some phrase "Trick or Treat" that was most important. But I don't know really why that is. She said she was pretending to be an UMBRELLA.
Then she and her friend, "Girl-who-smells-like-dog" came back with bags of stuff. They sorted it. Again. I don't know why. It seemed to be important. (I checked it out after everyone went to bed. They left all the stuff in a bowl on the counter. Nothing very interesting.)
OH. I almost forgot to mention... bad news!
When String Puller came back, that "og-day on a string" came back too with Tall Man. And that Og-Day SAT IN MY HOUSE! I watched Og-day very carefully from the top of the steps. T.O.C watched from under the piano in the living room. Og-day didn't come in very far in the house. I think we scared it.
HA HA. Cats rule again.
