The Fun Meme

Tira/ Henry here! Wanna play?
Here's the rules:
1. Any animal can play, except human beings, cuz they do their own memes! Thank you very much!
2. If you play be sure and tag another pet pal to play and be sure they know they got tagged.
3. Answer the nine questions (duh, nine lives, nine questions).
4. Be honest
5. Let people know you played too!
Here we go....
1. Favorite place to nap? under GoG's bed. On Short Girl's bookcase.
2. Favorite past time? Being GoG's study buddy/ foot warmer. Annoying the Girlie Cats.
("Can you cut that out, Henry?" "What if I don't leave you alone?" "I'll not let you blog." "Whatever. I'll blog anyway." )
3. Favorite treat? Greenies. Greenies... I guess... I don't really have a favorite treat yet.
4. Indoor or outdoor preference? INdoor! Well, I'd like to go outside, but not enough to try to escape.
5. How did you come to live with your peeps? They saw me at a Cat Show my Foster Mommy brought me to. They saw me in the Rescued Cats Room at the pet store.
6. Litter box, tree or fire hydrant? Litter box. Litter box. ( "I hear you used to poop in the tub." "I did not! The Grump did it and I got blamed!" "Sure..." )
7. Best toy you ever got? Bird-on-a-stick. The string I stole from Tiria.
8.Sleep in or early riser? Early to bed, late to rise, they say. I go to bed early, yell at my humans around three AM, and sleep until everyone is up.
9. Wish for all the world? Happy home for all! A bookcase to sleep on and nice humans.
I tag LMK and Molly.

The Needs Meme

I saw this meme on Spooky's blog. It looked like fun, so I thought I's do it.
Tiria got 1,000,000 results!!

Tiria needs...
1. To chill out. (not really.)
2. More cowbells. (definitely not.)
3. To become more profitable. (I don't need money.)
4. Sleep. (definitely.)
5. To be planted. (I am not a tree!!)
6. Polishing. (I am shiny enough from my daily groomings.)
7. To evaluate the stock market. (Huh?)
8. Help. (of what kind?)
9. A lightsaber. (what's that?)
10. Pink lipstick. (Ewwww...)

That's the top 10!

Tag, I'm it. You could be too!

Amie the Cattle Dog gave me a quiz. Even though she is a d-o-g she looks very nice and happy. So I told her I would play...
1. What advice would you give a young kitten who seeks to be as successful a cat as you are?
You have to train your humans early. Show them how you will reward them with purrs and loves if you get the kind of treats, sleeping places and otherwise appropriate attention that you want and deserve. Don't ever bite or scratch unless it is a human who should know better. Kitten humans just don't understand the idea of 'gentle' or 'don't pull' so it is best to just go limp and slip out of their hands. A pitiful yowl will also help you be rescued. Half-grown kitten humans (the kind that try to dress you or put silly hats on your head) should get a gentle swat and then one with heat in it. Grown-ups sometimes like to play, so you let them do it until it hurts and then you give them a "bat-bat-tiny claw" so that they figure out you don't think it's fun. When all else fails, hide under the bed. And don't come out until you hear the Greenies bag rattle.

2. How can peaceful coexistence between cats and dogs be maintained?
I have never lived with one. They walk by our door and the smell of them scares me. Amie seems very nice, and so do Dogblogger and Molly. I think I like them because I can't smell them. I think the key is that if dogs and cats are co-habitants, that you let them get used to each other slowly.

3. What is your humans' most endearing trait?
They know how to give a girl Greenies and most amazing scritches. Sometimes both at the same time!!!

4. Even the most advanced beings have room for self-improvement. What do you hope to accomplish in the next year?
There is this yummy looking stripey chipmunk... some day I will catch it and it will be MINE MINE MINE!!!!

5. What would you like to tell humans who seek the secret of contentment?
Three things:
  • purr loudly and often
  • wash behind your ears
  • a nap in a cozy spot brings your mood back up to sunny

RevGalDogPals or CatPals (or humans, for that matter), would you like to be interviewed by me, Tiria the Shadow Princess? Here are the rules:
1. If you are interested in being interviewed, leave a comment here or on my human's blog saying, 'interview me.'
2. I will respond by posting five questions for you. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with a post with your answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Gotta run... it's time for my facial...

8 random things...

Molly didn't exactly tag me... perhaps because I am a cat. But I am going to play anyway. Tag is fun. So, here are eight random things about me.

1) I hate being held.
I know cats are supposed to like it, but I don't.

2) I got lost outside when it was very cold out and lost my family. A nice person took me in and helped me find a forever home. I love them.

3) I can sing. My favorite song is RrrrrrrrAOUUUUUUUUUL!

4) I am named for a character in the book High Rhulain by Brian Jacques. She was an otter princess, kind of shy but a warrior at heart.

5) I don't get along with my roommate, T.O.C. (That Other Cat). I have tried. Really. She hisses and growls at me and never EVER wants to play. I would even share the bed with her if she wanted to sleep on it, too...

6) I like fleece. Anyone's fleece. String puller's jacket. String plucker's bed. Bearded Scritcher's vest. I like it so much that Giver of Greenies made a special basket just for me. Prrrrrrrrrr.

7) I have a computer chip under my skin near one ear. Giver of Greenies says that it means I will be able to be found and brought home if I ever get away from my family.

8) I LOVE Greenies. PRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

Now I don't know who to tag. But if you want to play you can.

Joy

Songbird says:

Tell us about five people, places, or things that have brought surprising, healing joy into your life.

  1. Greenies -- I know I blog about them a lot but they just make a kitty purrrrrrrr and do tricks. And feel loves.
  2. Bearded Scritcher -- He didn't mean to drop his shoe on me. And when I acted really scared he fed me Greenies... And his fleece shirt is so warm...
  3. Giver of Greenies -- She always hides the bag. I know where. But I have not figured out how to get the drawer open (yet!) I like to keep her computer chair warm.
  4. String Puller and String Plucker -- Assistants in the Greenie giver and scritching department. They are apprentices and aren't doing too badly.
  5. My Foster Mom -- I don't remember her name. Nice people found me in the snow and took me to her house. She let me hide under the dresser for weeks. She still gave me food and a wuzzly blanket. She let me sit on her couch (but not on the kitchen counter -- why?) But I was a stranger and she took me in... and she helped me find my forever family.
I'd put down T.O.C. (that other cat) but she still won't play with me...

Streams in the Desert

Songbird says For this Friday Five, name five practices, activities, people or _____ (feel free to fill in something I may be forgetting) that for you are rivers in the desert.

I am actually not much for water. Or streams. Or rivers. They messes with my fur, they does. But I do have things that make me a happy cat.

1. Proper scritches. From my head down to my tail and back. Lightly, please. I am a lady.
2. Polar fleece. Especially someone's jacket. Forbidden fleece is always softest.
3. A full bird feeder. Bearded Scritcher is a good human. He keeps the view delectably interesting.
4. Love. Love. Love. I was lost and left out in the cold. Nice people brought me in and welcomed me, even when I wouldn't let them touch me for weeks. Must be love. Can't get enough of it.
5. GREENIES! but the Giver of Greenies never ever gives a good cat enough of them.

Time for a proper wash. I have my reputation to uphold...
